GODO PUMPS Helps Customers Efficiently Transfer Chemical Liquids

AFTER-SALES
In April 2023, Mr. Deng, the head of an equipment engineering company in China, selected GODO PUMPS's QBY3 series diaphragm pump after screening and comparison. The customer used GODO diaphragm pump to transfer chemical raw liquids. It has certain corrosiveness, no leakage, no static electricity, and is safe and environmentally friendly. GODO PUMPS's diaphragm pump fully meets the operating environment and requirements of Mr. Deng's company. Recently, Mr. Deng reported that the diaphragm pumps have been used for nearly a year without any major problems, but recently several diaphragm pumps have stopped working. After receiving the feedback, the company immediately sent an after-sales engineer to the customer's factory the next day.
PROBLEM FOUND
After inspection by GODO PUMPS engineers, it was found that the V-ring of the non-working diaphragm pump was worn and the diaphragm was deformed.
After analysis, the causes of the problem are:
1. The pneumatic FRL was not installed on site, causing the valve chamber to dry out and cause the V-ring to wear;
2. The operator forgot to open the outlet valve, causing negative pressure in the pump chamber and damaging the diaphragm;
3. In the low temperature environment of the site, the diaphragm has insufficient toughness and is not durable.
After finding the cause, the after-sales engineer replaced the damaged V-ring and deformed diaphragm. Other diaphragm pumps were also checked, and those with hidden problems were debugged and maintained.
SUGGESTION
Finally, the GODO PUMPS' after-sales engineer recommended installing a pneumatic FRL to the diaphragm pump, and the operator should confirm that the feed pipeline and discharge pipeline valves are open before starting the pump. This can better extend the service life of the diaphragm pump diaphragm and V-ring, and also ensure work efficiency.
When we usually use pneumatic FRL, we should pay attention to the following points.
1. The pneumatic FRL is shipped without engine oil. Please add engine oil yourself when installing and using it. The small knob on the oil mist device can adjust the amount of oil. It is appropriate to drip 2-3 drops per minute.
2. Depending on the intensity of use, refill the oil in time before the oil level in the oil cup drops below the minimum line. When refueling, you need to turn off the air source and remove the pressure from the pipeline to prevent oil from spraying out.
3. The pneumatic FRL has an automatic drainage function and will automatically drain when the pressure is relieved. If the FRL is in a pressure environment for a long time, manual drainage is required before exceeding the maximum water storage line (the metal button under the water cup is pushed upward).
